You have all seen it, some of your friends have probably bought a Mac, or visited an Apple store and made tons of shitty pictures using the Photobooth software. The common one is the one with the picture split into 4 copies: red green purple blue or whatever. Okay, let’s fucking copy the art of Andy Warhol and make myself seem like an artist. Fucking revolutionary.

What many Mac users do not understand is using preset effects does not make you creative. Hell, if you want to do something cool with your photos, open up Photoshop and do something there. People do this because they are amazed, they claim “they never seen it done before” which is bullshit because if I load up my Facebook I can find you at least 5 people with a photograph like that. Mmmhmm, also the fact how ANYONE can do it. I don’t think it’s very artistic if it only takes 2 fucking clicks to do it. What kind of people are amused by this? High school students, mostly in the emo/scene crowd. They go get a Mac, and then upload 60 images of the same fucking shit. Yeah, I get it, you played around with a Mac, now try doing other shit with it.

Another thing these emos/scenes want to do is to use the morphing feature in Photobooth. You know, because morphing your face really looks attractive. Hey dumb ass, the background is morphed too, it looks like shit. Sure, if the background was normal, and you were morphed that would look slightly cooler, however with the whole photo morphed it looks like shit. You think that morphing faces is exclusive to the Mac? Fuck you, I have the same feature on my CELL PHONE. Yes, a cell phone as a camera that is as good as your fucking Mac, where is your revolutionary iSight now?

Apple claims to boast that all Macs have a iSight camera that makes video conferencing easy. Really? The most used Messenger client in Canada is WLM (formerly MSN) and the Mac version of that is complete shit, sure blame Microsoft since they designed it. However, that makes video conferencing over WLM harder because you often have to have the same version as your contact installed. Also, my laptop also has a camera above the screen, built in. Same shit as a Mac…

The Mac is not some revolutionary new hardware that does magical things that PCs can not. Despite what you hear in the commercials, despite what your friend told you. I have to make this claim now, I dislike Macs, and I always will. However, I do feel it is fair to give a fair look on the PC side without sounding biased. As with some of my other rants I could go on insulting Macs forever, and I will do so later. This was was just about how idiots are so amazed with the gimmicks that the Mac has, even though it provides nothing to the end experience of the Mac.

TLDR: iSight Camera, Photobooth are for idiots.
