Advertising Is Evil

Lately I’ve had a conversation with some guy who bitched about “commercials being everywhere.” I then decided to place Google Ads on my site, and now here I am writing a post about advertising. Basically this guy was complaining that he pays for his cable bill, therefore there should be no ads on TV. Now this is where the guy is a total idiot and doesn’t know how television works. The cable provider has to buy channels, from media outlets (sometimes the cable provider owns some.) Anyways, then the channel has to buy shows, and the show has to have money to get produced.
So your cable bill can be divided into this:
33% – Infrastructure/Employee cost
33% - Cost of buying channels
33% – Profit
The money made from the commercials do not go to directly towards the cable provider, rather it goes to the company offering the channel. While things would be able to work without commercials, is it really that hard to watch them? It’s not like you actually have to pay attention to them. Plus you might just learn something, like you can get rid of jogging by taking Viagara.

lol you may have ads now but I never see them or… any others for that matter because I have Adblock Plus. Wow damn I haven’t seen any even embedded on web pages for months since I installed it. I actually forgot ads existed until you told me you had them on your page.
