Is that seat taken?

September 28th, 2008 by Matt

Yesterday I was at the movies, the movie opened the day before so I thought to get there early in order to good seats. It’s a good thing I did that because when I got there about 45 mins early there was already a line. After waiting, people were finally let into the theatre. So I sat there, talking with my friends and watching the stupid pre-commercials.

It didn’t get bad until the movie started at 10:20. It was then that the trailers started the smart people were already there and had good seats. When the movie actually started were people were going up to the TOP and asking if seats were taken. If the seat WASN’T taken, someone would have filled it, 20 minutes ago.

I just don’t understand what goes through a person’s mind at that time. The start time of the movie says “10:20″ so why don’t the people show up at that time, or before. It’s opening weekend there’s going to be a lot of people there to watch it. So they come at say “10:40″ expecting to get good seats. I’m sorry but that just isn’t going to happen, when you are late there’s going to be consequences, having a shitty seat is one of them.
