When I look back at high school I see it was all one big popularity contest. Not a new discovery, but still the kids are doing all this shit in order to be popular. I was talking with my friend one day about school uniforms, we ended the conversation right there, because there is too fucking much you can say about this shit. Let me start.

“We should be allowed to wear whatever the hell we want.” Yes, you should, and you are. As long as you are not in school. You could run around your house naked, no one can really stop you. However once you enter the public, you are limited in what you can do. I should be able to walk into a convenience store with no pants. But the store policy is no shoes, no shirt, no service. Fair enough, I follow that rule. Schools are a little more strict on this matter, and why not? The goal of the school is to teach disciple along with knowledge. Follow the rules and you won’t get in trouble. If you don’t like the rules you can always go to a school that doesn’t have uniforms.

“Uniforms take away from our creativity.” May I ask how? The last time I checked creativity comes from what you can do, not on how you look. You can be wearing the worst clothes ever and still be a creative bastard. Sure, you may not have matching colours, or the colour of your shirt doesn’t match your mood. But honestly, how can you say you’re less creative for wearing something you don’t want to. Take an art class and show off that creativity of yours.

“How am I supposed to be unique if we all look the same?” Very good question, maybe by your face, your haircut, and your body. Expensive clothes isn’t everything. A hot chick will always look hot, whether she’s in a uniform, or if she’s not wearing anything at all. By the way, you are forgetting that no one is judging you as everyone else is wearing the same damn thing. No one can say “oh, she dresses like she was from some third world country” as everyone dresses alike. If you need to have expensive clothes to make friends or to be noticed think of this: they noticed your clothes, NOT YOU. Once you are out of school you can dress however the hell you want, and outside school is the only place that matters.

The truth of this whole matter? You are probably going to be wearing some uniform all your life. Want to work at McDonalds? There is a uniform for that. You  want to work in an office or something like that? Formal clothing only. You want to play on a soccer team? Uniform there too. Once you are done with work, you can go home to change and enjoy the nightlife. Besides, I don’t know why any one’s complaining, I thought a Catholic School Girl Uniform was a major turn on.

If you don’t like uniforms, there are always alternatives. You can go to a school without uniforms. You can get a job that accepts casual clothing. Or hell, you can even stay at home and do nothing. No one is forcing you to do anything, you are just forcing yourself by going to that school.
